In
1988, a group of engineers formed and incorporated a company called SDI
Spechem Corporation. It grew to become a total water specialization company.
But since water treatment is a wide area, a separate company, SDIC
Environmental Technologies, Inc., was spun-off on June 27, 1990
to specialize in water and sewerage system designing, engineering and management.
On September 2, 1992 SDIC expanded into general contracting
with specialization in sanitary and mechanical works. SDIC
also supplies & imports equipment such as aerators, pumps, blowers, travel
lift/airlift, clarifiers, filters, mixers, ozonators, reverse osmosis system
& desalination and ultraviolet disinfection among others.
Today, SDIC, with its President, Carlo S. Guanzon, is staffed by highly competent technical personnel; experienced in practically all aspects of pollution control and sanitary/mechanical works. Following the strategy of the government's Philippines 2003, SDIC has beefed up its resources in more technical personnel and relevant equipment
